New Features In Store for 2013 Volt

You know the Volt, right?  The Chevy car that is 100% all electric?  And the first one of its kind made by an American automaker?  Well, while all the attention of the media is usually on the gas savings of the Volt, Hudiburg Chevy has a little inside info.  Ok, call it a rumor.

Chevrolet hasn't publically acknowledged any official updates to the 2013 version of the Volt yet, but auto industry insiders have already begun digging up the details.

While not acknowledging it publically, the biggest expected improvement will be a new mode of driving called EV Hold.  Previously available only in Europe, Eco Hold Mode conserves battery power by making the drivetrain push poser to the electric motor while the vehicle is moving.  This translates into highway drives that charge the battery!  And that means less stops for you (stopping for snacks still optional.)

There are other improvemetns around asethetics, but this is the biggest one we’ve heard so far.  We’ll keep snooping!  If you're interested in how this motor works, just drop by and talk to a technician.  I promise they'll be happy to help.
