2015 Chevy Corvette ZO6 Horsepower Leaked

Since the slip was reported, someone from Chevy removed the information, even though the cat’s now well out of the bag. Whether it was a legitimate mistake or clever marketing ploy is unknown, as is much about the new Z06.

This is the "slip"; “With 620 horsepower and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, the 2015 Corvette Z06 is the most advanced Corvette ever made." Reported by Jalopnik.

There’s still no word on the kind of handling upgrades the car gets, or what’s producing all that power under the hood, but rumor has it that it’s a supercharged version of the Stingray’s 6.2-liter V8.

That’d be the same size and configuration as the motor in the outgoing range-topping Corvette ZR1 that was rated at 638 hp and 604 lb-ft.
